  • SEE launch reservation details, including email address, preferred monthly or yearly plan, and communication consent
  • Order, license, subscription, and payment status information
  • License key, activation status, app version, device information, operating system, and diagnostic information
  • Support ticket information, including email address, category, subject, issue description, optional SEE version, operating system, DaVinci Resolve version, and consent to process the request

  • Optional product feedback or feature requests

Payment information is processed by Lemon Squeezy or another authorized payment provider. We do not directly store full credit card numbers.

2. Local Project and Media Data

Sol Edit Engine is designed primarily as a desktop application. Project files, footage, media paths, timeline information, camera/profile mappings, LUT selections, watch-folder settings, Folder Structures, Review Queue items, Taste Model data, archive settings, reports, thumbnails, and workflow data may be processed locally on your computer.

We do not upload your raw footage, project media, or timelines to our servers by default.

If you send us logs, reports, screenshots, project details, or files for support, we may review that information to help troubleshoot your issue.

3. License Activation Data

Sol Edit Engine may use license activation, device, version, and subscription status information to verify access, prevent fraud, manage activations, provide updates, and support offline or online licensing features.

Activation data may include a license key, account email, subscription status, app version, operating system, and a device identifier or hashed device fingerprint, depending on the licensing system in use.

4. Optional Third-Party Integrations

Sol Edit Engine supports or may connect to third-party services and tools such as DaVinci Resolve, Lemon Squeezy, user-selected AI providers, Google Calendar for demo scheduling, FFmpeg, audio utilities, operating system APIs, and other workflow utilities.

When you enable or use an AI or cloud-based feature, SEE will identify or document the information that may be sent to the selected service. We do not send raw footage to AI services by default.

Third-party services have their own privacy policies and terms.

5. OpenAI and Bring Your Own Key Features

OpenAI or other user-selected AI features may use metadata, analysis summaries, user prompts, reports, selected settings, thumbnails, or other information only when you enable or use those features.

When you connect your own API key, the key may be stored locally on your device or through your operating system's credential storage, depending on the app version and platform. You are responsible for third-party API usage, billing, and account settings associated with your own API key.

Raw footage is not sent to AI services by default.

7. Sharing Information

We may share limited information with trusted service providers only when needed to operate the business, including payment processors, licensing systems, hosting providers, analytics tools, customer support tools, email providers, and security or fraud-prevention providers.

We may publish generalized information about a confirmed bug, including an issue ID, affected versions, status, symptoms, workaround, and resolution. We do not publish the reporter's email address, name, client identity, private project details, or client-confidential media with a known-issue entry unless the person explicitly authorizes that disclosure.

We use Meta Pixel (Pixel ID 1723981127839341) to send PageView events and related browser, device, network, cookie, and website activity data to Meta Platforms, Inc. for website analytics and advertising measurement. Meta processes this information under its own Privacy Policy and may associate it with a Meta account.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws may define disclosures through advertising technologies as “sharing.” You may contact us to exercise any applicable opt-out rights.

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, fraud prevention, security protection, or to enforce our rights.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for business, legal, tax, support, licensing, and security purposes.

Support tickets, replies, logs, and diagnostic files may be retained while a request is active and for a reasonable period afterward for troubleshooting, security, service history, and legal purposes, then deleted when no longer needed.

Temporary hashed network identifiers used to limit support-form abuse are retained for no more than one hour. The support form does not accept file uploads.

Reservation email addresses and plan preferences may be retained until launch communications are complete or until you ask us to remove them. Temporary hashed network identifiers used to limit reservation-form abuse are retained for no more than one hour.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. However, no system can be guaranteed completely secure.

You are responsible for maintaining backups of your projects, footage, media files, exports, and related production assets.

10. Your Choices

You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your personal information, subject to legal, tax, fraud-prevention, licensing, security, and business record requirements.
